Deciding How To Outsource Your Online Marketing Projects

You’ve thought about your passions. You’ve brainstormed ways to turn your interests into a business. You did your research to make sure it would be profitable. You drew up a business plan, got your accounting and taxes in order, obtained any necessary licenses …and in general, you are ready to rock and roll.

When you get to this point, you’re going to hear people tell you to outsource as much as you can. They’ll tell you that you’re the brains behind the operation, so all you have to do is hire out all your work. “Grunt work” they might even call it. Things like product creation and writing articles can easily be outsourced and should be …at least that’s what you’ll hear repeatedly from the masses.

These experts will tell you that your time is much too valuable to piddle away on time-consuming tasks that someone else could just as well be doing.

Indeed, you’ll hear many wealthy marketers talking about this concept. They may even tell you that the turning point of their business occurred when they started outsourcing everything. That meant they could spend their days brainstorming up their next million dollar idea, drawing up plans to putting it into action, and hiring people to carry out those plans.

Why Every Online Marketer Is Different

The people who are telling you to do this assume that everyone is like them – that is, they thrive on generating ideas. Creating ideas and actions plans ARE their passions.

But what if that’s not your passion? I mean what if you can come up with great ideas, but YOUR passion is in carrying them out? Outsourcing those tasks isn’t going to exactly make you feel fulfilled, is it?

For example, let’s suppose that your true passion is writing. You love it. You’d do it for fun.

So you decide that you are going to write and sell ebooks online. It seems lucrative, and it is. You go ahead and start writing in niches you enjoy – like gardening, for example.

Pretty soon you have a thriving business. The money is rolling in. Your business is booming so much that you realize that you need to take on more help. All good things.

Then you visit a few marketing forums or read a few newsletters, or perhaps you even have a few conversations with influential marketers. They can’t believe that you are still creating your own products. “Your business is booming!” they correctly observe. “Let someone else create those products so you can focus on the more profitable parts of your business, like marketing!”

And indeed, you give it some thought. Yes, it’s true – if you outsourced the product creation and hired ghostwriters to do everything from your ebooks to your articles to your blog posts, you certainly would free up a lot of your time. You could then be rolling out even more products per year. You could be making more money.

Your eyes light up. It’s so simple! And so you go for it…

Fast forward a few months…

Now you have an army of a few dozen writers working for you, churning out dozens upon dozens of products. You don’t have to write at all any more. You certainly have freed up your time to focus on the profitable aspects of your business, and the bottom line shows it. You’re getting downright rich!
